There are unique challenges inherent in raising a child with special needs, and this is especially true internationally. There is significant effort around the world to increase the number of programs for children and young adults with special needs. However, the quality of these programs varies greatly from country to country, and even from school to school. While some people who have mild learning difficulties are adequately served internationally, many who have moderate to severe difficulties still encounter major challenges. In addition to the lack of available programs in their country, there is often a lack of other support or therapeutic specialists to serve the requirements of special needs children, young adults, and their families.
As their parent or trusted member of the family, you are their best advocate to find the right resources and educational options. Here at Ezzani Interventions International, we work with families to assure mental health and special educational needs are identified, appropriately assessed and have an effective treatment and educational plan established in advance of moving overseas.
Team members, such as an immigration attorney, housing manager, psychologist (Psy.D.), and many others assist families with arranging temporary housing, evaluations for problems including speech difficulties, learning difficulties, attention deficit difficulties, autism, and emotional problems. Comprehensive evaluations can include psychological, educational, speech/language, occupational therapy and psychiatric assessments.
The first step for every client is to meet for a free initial consultation. The initial consultation is a face to face interview (in-person or video conference) where we will discuss your main concerns, goals for your son or daughter, and review any documents pertaining to your situation. At the end of this meeting you will be presented with a summary of our recommendations for next steps.

Next steps include a Guided Transition or a Full Transition. For a Guided Transition, we conduct an extensive assessment and provide a full report that includes a step-by-step breakdown on the services need to help your situation. Also provided are the tools and resources for who you should contact and when to contact them based on a timeline. Essentially you are given all the resources and you do the work. For a Full Transition, everything in the Guided Transition option is handled for you.
We service families who are looking to relocate to areas within Southern California.
